If there is absolutely no movement detected for twenty seconds, an alarm will go off. Finally, if you decide that even the alarm going off every twenty seconds is too much to handle, you can use this baby heartbeat monitor in the Sound Only mode. Even though the movement sensor is disabled in this mode, the parents will still be able to hear their baby’s sounds and get a visual of the sound lights. The Angelcare baby heartbeat monitor, in this mode, will function as a regular sound monitor. For parents who need more input, the additional sensory features of this baby heartbeat monitor can be lifesaving.
Working of the Angelcare System Baby Heartbeat Monitor
It is important you put a sensor pad under the middle of your baby’s mattress making sure that the sensor pad is on a hard, flat surface. The cable of the sensor must be underneath the mattress, and exit at the corner the crib. The cord is then put into the jack located on the nursery transmitter unit. This unit can be run with four AAA batteries or plugged into the wall outlet. This is the same for parents’ unit receivers. When you are ready switch on the parents’ units and select either channel A or B. Always make sure the parents’ units are set on the same channel as the one in the nursery. Choose a mode same as the nursery unit – Sound Only or Tic Off , Sound & Movement. If you want, one unit can be left in your bedroom and the other one you can carry it around.
Here are some features that come with this Angelcare baby heart monitor:
* Indicator Sound lights – lights lets you know your baby is making sound
* Optional “Tic” Feature – it will tick continually with each movement and if there is no movement detected by the sensor, ticking will stop.
* Movement Indicator Light – when baby makes a move, the light on the parents’ side will flash green.
* False Alarms – it is possible to get false alarms. Do make sure you turn the baby’s side off. For other issues, see the guide located in the manual.
